Severus stayed on the rooftop, simply because he couldnt think of anywhere else to go. The Slytherin common-room would be buzzing with dark, suspicious gossip about Averys attack. The library was too full of painful memories. And everywhere else carried the risk of bringing him face-to-face with Potters chirpy grin or Dumbledores grave stare.
